I am a baker and an artist, but first and foremost I am a mom. That is my first and most important job. I love making cakes and seeing people's reactions when they see and taste one of my creations, but the thing that makes me the happiest is seeing my children happy!

Well, I just had a baby 3 months ago and my tiny little precious bundle has been anything but happy; he's screaming, colicky, full of diarrhea. He is in constant pain. You can imagine my surprise when the doctors told me it was because of what I was eating and putting into my body. My son is allergic to dairy, soy, nuts, berries, lentils, chocolate, and God knows what else. This is completely foreign to me, No one in my family has allergies so it's been a long arduous process trying to find things to eat that aren't cardboard. I now feel for those of you with allergies.

Did you know that there is soy in almost every manufactured food item on grocery shelves? I had no idea. I've been forced to read and re-read every single ingredient and label on everything that I buy. It has been disheartening.
So with that being said, we are working on creating vegan recipes in the next few months here at Stardust Cakes to accommodate our clients with food allergies.
This allergy issue has hit really close to home with me and with allergies on the rise, I think it's time for more options for our clients.

Due to the molecular structure of these allergy-free cakes, some decorations may not be possible on the cakes but we hope to give you something delicious that you can enjoy for your special celebration.

We have a vegan Pumpkin Bread ready to go for the fall holidays. It tastes exactly like the dairy buttery version but 100% vegan.

And for those of you who have the dreadful chocolate allergy (which I had as a kid), we have some fudgy carob brownies to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Stay tuned for other allergy friendly flavors that we will be rolling out in the next few months. At this moment we will not be creating gluten free items, just vegan and nut free.
